The teacher social dialogue framework and costed implementation plan, The Republic of Uganda
The Ugandan Teacher Social Dialogue Framework provides a structure for organizing and managing dialogue with government, employers and other stakeholders in order to bring to the fore teachers’ voices on matters related to their welfare, professionalism and education in general.
The Framework, which is one of the critical components for the implementation of the National Teacher Policy, mainly aims to achieve the following objectives:
a) To institutionalize social dialogue for teachers in Uganda.
b) To create an enabling environment for social dialogue between key partners.
c) To promote the involvement of teachers, key partners and the public in decision making and policy formulation on teachers and educational issues in the country.
d) To guide the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the social dialogue for teachers in Uganda.
