Bienvenidos al Centro de Recursos para Docentes, el centro de conocimientos del Equipo Especial Internacional sobre Docentes para Educación 2030 dedicado específicamente a los docentes. El Centro de Recursos para Docentes permite acceder a recursos directamente relacionados con las prácticas docentes, como unidades didácticas, guías de desarrollo curricular, oportunidades de formación de docentes y las últimas investigaciones sobre pedagogía.

Está destinado a docentes, formadores de docentes, encargados de la elaboración de planes de estudios y profesionales de la educación en general, con objeto de ofrecerles acceso a una selección de materiales que les sirvan de inspiración y apoyo para su práctica profesional.

Climate action in language education: Activities for low resource classrooms

This publication provides teachers with a bank of thirty activities, based on ten climate change themes, with step-by-step guidance for each activity. They are an ideal starting point to help to address issues of sustainability in the classroom. The activities cover a range of levels and age groups, and each explores climate change through one of ten topics, from sports to storms and from farming to fashion. They are designed with flexibility in mind, can be integrated within existing curricula and are all designed for contexts without access to audio equipment, printing or photocopying facilities.

Gender-ing English language classes across the globe: Practical lessons for teachers

This book contains 40 lessons which show how English language teachers have included a range of gender topics in their pedagogical practice. Examples of such topics include gender and the workplace, gender and education, gender stereotypes and gender (in)equality. Collectively, they showcase how teachers working in different environments have taken the time to embed a social agenda in their pedagogical practice.

Using multilingual approaches - moving from theory to practice

This book aims to introduce important evidence relating to language learning in multilingual contexts and develop the practice of using multilingual approaches in the classroom. It has been especially designed to support teachers who teach English as a subject and for teachers who use English as the medium of instruction (EMI) in classrooms with students in linguistically diverse and often low-resource communities.

 The resource has three main parts:

  1. A guide that explains relevant research evidence
  2. Strategies, activities and projects that teachers can use in their classrooms
  3. An abridged list of resources for multilingual education for further exploration

Teachers as change agents - Classroom research in Sierra Leone secondary schools

This book is a collection of classroom-based research reports by 50 English and mathematics teachers from across Sierra Leone, developed under the UK aid-funded Leh Wi Lan programme. It showcases how teachers identified and addressed real classroom challenges through exploratory and action research. The studies focus on inclusive teaching, pupil engagement, group work, learner feedback, and innovative strategies. This pioneering initiative highlights teachers as agents of change and supports professional development aligned with national standards. It offers practical insights for educators and school leaders across Sierra Leone.

Adaptada a distintos niveles, incluye fundamentos básicos, actividades interactivas, casos de uso reales y recomendaciones para aplicar IA en planificación, evaluación y comunicación. El proceso de elaboración se centró en la utilidad concreta en aula, asegurando que cada docente pueda adaptar la IA a su contexto educativo.

What does a good teacher look like?

One of the tools the British Council uses to help answer the question of what a good teacher looks like is our CPD Framework for teachers. It describes teacher skills, knowledge and attributes through professional practices and in relation to developmental stages.

Uses of the framework
The CPD framework can be used:

  • by individual teachers to plan and pursue their professional development journeys
  • by materials developers in the creation of learning resources for teachers
  • by educational stakeholders and teacher educators in the design and evaluation of CPD programmes and interventions
  • by ministries of education to develop country-specific standards for teachers.

Online Learning Design for Educators Specialization

Specialization offering three courses for educators seeking to improve and expand their repertoire of online teaching skills related to the design, development and delivery of effective and engaging online courses and lessons for school age and adult learners. Free webinar: International Trends in Open and Distance Education

Sciences participatives : tous naturalistes en herbe

Ce webinaire de 60 minutes, destiné au contexte éducatif français, explore les sciences participatives, comme l'observation de la biodiversité ou l'identification des insectes et vers de terre. Il présente l'intérêt pédagogique de ces programmes en permettant aux élèves de participer à la recherche scientifique. Les enseignants découvriront comment intégrer ces dispositifs en classe, ainsi que les ressources et outils (programmes, applications) disponibles. Le webinaire aborde aussi les pièges à éviter dans l'utilisation des sciences participatives à l'école. Deux dates sont proposées en 2024 : le 23 octobre et le 2 décembre. L'inscription est gratuite et ouverte à tous et à toutes.
