Malawi's continuing professional development framework for teachers and teacher educators

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) has developed this National Framework for Continuing Professional Development (CPD Framework) for teachers and teacher educators in Malawi. Its purpose is to guide the design and implementation of continuing professional development programmes. The underlying aim of the CPD Framework is to improve the quality of teaching and learning practices and therefore raise student learning outcomes at all levels of the education system. The Framework contributes towards the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4) on the provision of quality education and lifelong learning for all.
