Teacher Task Force new strategic plan consultations

The Teacher Task Force (TTF) will be hosting a series of consultative meetings on the development of the 2026-2029 Strategic Plan. Building off of the foundation of the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan and the results of the external evaluation, the TTF will continue to ensure that teachers firmly remain at the center of the educational agenda. 

Input from members is integral in constructing a collaborative dialogue and aligned our work with the needs of its members on the regional, national, and global level. The phases of the consultative process is as follows:

  • Consultation on the TTF Strategic Plan and Advocacy Strategy (23 September 14:00-15:00): This one-hour session will occur as part of the regular planned meetings with the TTF Communications Group.
  • Consultation with Thematic groups (30 September 14-15:30): This session will be moderated by the TTF Secretariat and will include brainstorming from thematic groups co-leads.
  • TED/TTF Secretariat Internal workshop (13 October 15:00-17:00): The TED/TTF Secretariat will conduct an in-depth review of the current Theory of Change to question underlying assumptions and propose and updated version.
  • Regional consultation on the TTF priorities for the 2026-2029 period (21 October 14:00-15:30): This consultation invites TTF regional representatives and regional organizations focal points to discuss TTF priorities for the upcoming period.
  • Consultation with Key Advisory group (27 October 10:00-12:00): The TTF Secretariat will moderate a consultation from key advisors from the Steering Committee and membership on recommendations for the new Theory of Change.
  • Written consultation (11 November): The draft of the Strategic Plan will be shared with key advisors from the Steering Committee and the membership for comments.
  • Consultation with the UNESCO CoP (20 November 14:00-15:30): This session will engage members of the UNESCO CoP and allow for brainstorming on the role of the TTF for UNESCO colleagues in the field.
  • Submission to the Steering Committee (25 November): The final draft will be shared with the Steering Committee for validation.
  • Presentation at the Steering Committee meeting (11 December 13:30-15:00): The final Strategic Plan will be presented and validated by the Steering Committee.
  • Launch of the Strategic Plan (first trimester of 2026): Members will be invited to attend the launch of the Strategic Plan at UNESCO headquarters or online. More information will follow.
